Foot & Ankle PRP Therapy

PRP uses your body’s own plasma, which has more concentrated platelets than what’s normally found in blood. The process involves taking a small amount of your blood, placing it in a centrifuge, and then spinning it at high speeds until it becomes highly concentrated. After about 15 minutes, the mixture is then injected back into the area of your injury.

Since PRP comes from your own blood, your body is less likely to have a negative reaction to the treatment. The process is easy and relatively painless, we'll apply a local anesthetic if needed. Ultrasound guidance is used for position and precision of the needle during the injection. Regenerative therapy helps alleviate pain and boost healing using regenerative properties (cells, platelets, plasma, etc.) from the body. Regenerative medicine at Arizona Foot & Ankle Surgery includes the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to help patients find relief from their chronic musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, ligament and muscle tears, wounds or tissue inflammation. PRP is helpful for the treatment of: Plantar Fasciitis, Tendinitis, Arthritis, Neurological Conditions, Sprains, Chronic Pain, Tissue inflammation, Wounds and more...

HyProCure Procedure

HyProCure is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that corrects the misalignment between the heel and ankle bones that causes flat feet. It involves repositioning the ankle bone on the heel bone and inserting a small, titanium stent. See this link for more information https://www.hyprocure.com/

Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are prescribed shoe inserts that provide support to stabilize your skeletal system and realign your entire body, which can help prevent chronic pain issues not only in your feet but through your entire body. Custom orthotics are helpful for all ages and for a variety of issues. These inserts can be used for everyday support, bunions, hammertoes, Achilles tendonitis, toe and foot deformities, sports injuries and support, ankle instability, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, arthritis, flat feet, toe walking, weakness, poor balance, frequent tripping, leg length discrepancies, etc.

Orthotics will be molded in our office the day of your visit and will be ready to pick up a week later. Some insurances will cover the cost of custom orthotics inserts, please call your insurance provider to see if this is a covered benefit on your plan.
